If you’ve never visited Landrum, Tryon, Columbus or Saluda (most commonly known as Horse Country) drop everything you’re doing and hop in the car! You can thank me later. Home to some of the most beautiful views and picture perfect towns you can think of, Horse Country was a dream location to shoot. I recently had the pleasure of photographing 15 beautifully painted horses for Our Carolina Foothills upcoming Art of the Horse 2019 Calendar. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I headed out the door on the day of the shoot, but let’s just say that the horses truly are pieces of art! Each horse is incredibly different from the next, giving you a new experience with every glance. The detail and craftsmanship are stunning and will inspire you to chase all of the horses down just for a glimpse!
Do yourself a favor and plan a trip up to Horse Country ASAP! Between the gorgeous views, unique eats (so many yummy restaurants) and the Art of the Horse artwork throughout…. these towns do not disappoint!
Please enjoy a few of my favorite shots and pick up a calendar from Our Carolina Foothills for this upcoming 2019 year. Also if you’re interested in purchasing one of these beautiful horses, please attend the Art of the Horse Auction on October 21, 2018 at The Cliffs at Glassy. (Links at the bottom!)
Enjoy!
